About us

Principal Optometrist, Ian Jarvis, qualified in 1984 from Glasgow Caledonian University and has run his own practice for over 20 years.

Professional bodies
He is the Chairman of the Scottish Committee of Optometrists. This is the body involved primarily in the education and development of optometry in Scotland. Members are elected from the various regions of Scotland and give their time free of charge for the good of the profession.

Ian is also Vice-Chairman of the Tayside Optical Association providing continuing education lectures for local optometrists.

Optometrist Elaine Keddie , qualified from Glasgow Caledonian University 2005. Elaine has an interest in paediatric optometry, including coloured overlays for children with reading difficulties.
